The Roundabout features a quick and easy installation with either LATCH or traditional seatbelts. (Tan Swirl color shown.) View larger. | Quick and Easy Installation Easy to install correctly, regardless of whether your vehicle is LATCH compatible or not, the Roundabout takes the guesswork out of installation so you know your child is safely positioned on every trip. The Roundabout features a tangle-free, five-point harness made with rough and tough polyester webbing to resist wear and tear. The push-button LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) connectors help tightly secure your child quickly and easily so you won't have to worry about struggling with endless straps and complicated procedures, and convenient belt holders keep the harness to the side so you can place the child in the seat. Additionally, the harness offers three adjustable shoulder height positions for a snug fit over the shoulders, collarbone, and hips. Finally, the Roundabout provides built-in lock-off clips that keep the seat tightly in place when using only traditional seatbelts at installation. A simple handle pull allows the car seat base to be easily reclined when rear-facing, and the one-pull harness strap adjuster makes for a quick, easy, and secure fit every time. HUGS for Optimum Safety and Support When it comes to safety, the Roundabout truly delivers. First, the patented floating HUGS (Harness Ultra Guard) system exceeds U.S. safety standards by reducing forward head movement as it gently cushions the neck and chest with soft padding--a feature that's particularly important both in the case of an accident and during nap time. Made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) and extra thick comfort foam, this system better distributes the webbing loads, reducing head movement and minimizing harness irritation on baby's neck in case of impact. HUGS also reduces the chance of improperly positioning the chest clip. Versa-Tether for Additional Security The Roundabout also offers Britax's patented Versa-Tether, an anchor aid that provides additional security in the forward facing position for children weighing more than 50 pounds. The Versa-Tether fastens the top of the car seat to factory-installed automobile anchor points, minimizing the possibility of a head injury in the event of impact. Weighing only 14 pounds when empty, and measuring 18.25 x 25 x 23.5 inches (WxHxD), the Roundabout is incredibly comfortable. For added convenience, it is certified for air travel. The Roundabout comes with a limited 1-year limited warranty. The Roundabout is also available in the following colors: Granite, Cowmooflage, New Denim, Tan Swirl, and Jessica.

nice seat March 18, 2010 Sweet Concorde It is really easy to install rear-facing, and a little trickier to install forward-facing. I wouldn't recommend trying to install it the first time in a hurry, or while sleep-deprived, but once you figure it out it is easy-peasy to do again. The seat is sturdy and seems to be very safe and well-made. I think it was well worth the price, and as a concerned new parent it was very comforting to get this seat in the mail, after considering seats in the store that weren't as nice. I remember going back in my son's room quite a bit before he was born, and every time I went in there I would look over this seat with a feeling of accomplishment. Yeah, that is pretty goofy, but aside from his crib it was the nicest/most expensive thing we bought when getting everything ready for the baby. It, unlike a bunch of other baby products we bought, was not something I regret buying.
I've had to fuss around with the buckles and other parts as my son has grown out of one setting or another, and I've had to take it apart to clean it out a couple times. Nothing was difficult to do. It all comes apart and goes back together without a lot of trouble, and nothing comes apart when it isn't supposed to. I've been using it for about a year now.
I started off with a (hand-me-down) infant-style seat when my son was first born, and definitely prefer this seat. I think it is a lot more comfortable than the infant seat we had, and I think my son felt the same way (he wasn't as fussy about being put in it). For the same amount of money you could get two cheap seats - one for an infant, and one for a toddler, or you could get one seat that does both jobs, is easy to use, and that is worthy of admiration.
For an infant, you might want to get one of those c-shaped pads for supporting the head while the baby sleeps. Some seats come with it, this one doesn't, but they sell them just about everywhere and they aren't expensive.
I did have to cut the instruction book out (it is attached inside the seat with a short cord) so I could read it and install the seat at the same time.
Great car seat March 10, 2010 M. Barry (Santa Barbara, CA United States) We already had one of these and liked it so much that we bought a second one for our other car. We tried a Graco car seat but it wouldn't fit in either of our cars. Actually, it was such an odd shape I couldn't see how it would fit in any car. This one is perfect and from all the research we did, we found it was one of the safest and best reviewed.
Finally a Lifesaver! February 25, 2010 J. Grajeda (Long Beach, California) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I researched over and over on the internet and everywhere else for the perfect car seat and after reading all the great reviews on this Britax Roundabout I wasted not another minute and ordered it right away. Of course I was nervous if it was just another let down but to my surprise it's Great! The velcro seat belts really help when trying to put baby in car seat. I can actually see out my back window because like all others I tried this one fits in my small chevy aveo perfect. My baby loves it.
Thank you Thank you Thank you.
Go out and get yourself one of these!
Hardly Any Complaints -- Soft Cover, Reliable, and Easy to Use! February 25, 2010 H. Gerety (Colorado) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This has proven a good, sturdy car seat for baby, and we look forward to using it for a loooong time -- it can face both backwards and forwards, so we won't need to buy two car seats for her.
Since we didn't plan on carrying her around in a car seat at all, this was the car seat for us.
The only thing was that when she was smaller, we couldn't figure out a way to make the seat recline a little more for her (that could be the way our seats are -- we have a '97 Audi station wagon), so we ended up sticking a swimming noodle underneath it. This probably isn't company-advised, but it did work for us; it wouldn't have prevented us choosing this car seat even had we known the reclining issue ahead of time.
My sister-in-law used the same seat with her son, and her only complaint was that you can't buy a new cover separately -- so if you ever need to wash it, you just have to wait (and I believe you need to hang-dry it). This hasn't been an issue for us, at least not yet, as we haven't had to wash it.
It's also made of really soft material, and the straps are very quickly adjustable -- I can't stress how important that aspect is, living in Colorado where the morning will require a snowsuit for baby, and then by mid-afternoon it's almost fifty degrees!
Amazing Car Seat February 20, 2010 R. Justice (Louisville, KY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like the other purchasers who have reviewed, we did a LOT of research before picking this car seat. The safety ratings and reputation of Britax made the difference for us. Some of our friends have used other Britax models, and they all loved them. We purchased one for each of our cars and they have been great. Easy to adjust as our daughter has grown and still comfortable for her. This is really a great car seat.
